Getting Involved & Finding a Church Home

We first came in contact with NBC in August of 2016.  We had recently arrived to Canada and were looking for a church to connect with.  One day when passing by, we saw the sign for the church and decided to go.  The first impression that we got was that the members were very friendly and showed an interest in us.  My wife immediately got involved with volunteering in the NBC Vacation Bible School program.  From that point on, we have been regularly going to services and have learned a lot from the preaching and Defenders class held at the church.

As persons recently adjusting to Canada, we faced many challenges from finding jobs, managing my studying and our work schedules and other challenges.  Through all of these challenges, many families and persons of the church were very helpful in giving us advice, praying for us and encouraging us.

NBC really made us feel as though we were part of their family and that’s why in November of 2017 we decided to join NBC as members.  We’re looking forward to see what exciting things God will continue to do through NBC as we join in with the rest of the NBC family to reach out to the community and be beacons of light.
