The Tylers - An Interview

1. Tell us briefly about yourself?
We are followers of Jesus Christ and love the Lord our God.  Diane is a Registered Nurse and Chris is an Industrial Research Chair and Professor.  Diane enjoys public speaking
and quilting, and Chris enjoys canoeing and technology.  We both enjoy camping.  We have two grown daughters.

2. When did you start to attend Northminister?
Diane attended the Ladies' Bible Study starting in 2012/2013.  We started attending on Sundays together in Autumn 2013.

3. Why did you decide to join Northminster?
We joined the church to identify, publicly, with NBC as our home church.  We were drawn to NBC because of the small group bible studies and the love shown one to another.

4. How do you get involved in Church life?
We've participated in several ways: we were in a couples' discussion group, Diane has been involved in leading the Tuesday ladies' bible study, and Chris has prepared food for the men's breakfasts.

5. If you could see the future, tell us what NBC will be like in 50 years?
If we, and those who follow, remain faithful to God, I would trust that NBC would be blessed with a vibrant fellowship and ministry to the surrounding community. The neighborhood will continue to grow with people from many lands, accelerated by the completed subway and Finch transit line; students at York University and Seneca College will continue to seek the one true God among many falsehoods with which they are presented; and as always, the gospel of God's love, forgiveness, and new life must be shared urgently.

6. What one message do you want to tell us on our 50th Anniversary?
Romans 12:12: Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
